Martin Vodden - Chair of Trustees

Martin Vodden

Martin Vodden has 30 years’ experience in asset finance having started his career with Lombard North Central PLC (part of Nat West Bank PLC). For the last 15 years he has been a director at First Asset Finance PLC where he has worked with many blue chip clients structuring and funding various transactions and programmes. Martin’s experience incorporates credit assessment/enhancement; asset management; lease structuring and pricing; cross border and receivables financing, amongst other more traditional methods of financing.

"My Christian faith has inspired a strong desire to serve and help others. The relentless rise in food insecurity and child food poverty in this Country moved me to set up FoodWise TLC.

I am a strong believer in the principle of ‘Give a man a fish, you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish and you have fed him for a lifetime’.” Foodwise therefore seeks to improve cooking skills to better feed ourselves and our families.

Dr Kay Clapp

Kay has worked as a GP in Guildford for 15 years, working with the local hospital and community services. Serving a local and diverse population has provided insight into ways that basic support can really make a difference to lives,  both physically and emotionally.

"The provision of healthy balanced meals for individuals and families is one way of providing support that ultimately helps well being."

I believe Foodwise has the opportunity to reach out to individuals to offer advice, support and training to improve life skills and get to the heart of families promoting healthy lifestyles through basic food training and meal preparation."
